1. Beta software

ECHO is currently in beta. It is provided "as is" for testing and feedback purposes. Features may change, break, or be removed without notice.

2. No warranties

We do not guarantee that ECHO will be error-free, secure, or suitable for any particular purpose. You use it at your own risk. Always back up your Obsidian vault before installing new plugins.

3. Data & privacy

All document processing in the ECHO plugin happens locally on your device. We do not upload, store, or access the content of your notes. See our Privacy Policy for details on what we do collect (waitlist emails, Discord participation, anonymous analytics).

4. Open core licensing

The ECHO core engine (L0–L3) will be released under the Apache License 2.0. This means you can use, modify, and distribute the core code freely, subject to the terms of that license. The Obsidian plugin (L4–L9 features) is a separate, free beta product with its own terms.

5. Feedback

By using ECHO and providing feedback, bug reports, or suggestions, you grant us permission to use that feedback to improve the product without obligation or compensation.

6. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Discord server, waitlist, or plugin at any time. You may stop using ECHO and leave the community at any time.

7. Changes

We may update these terms as ECHO evolves. Significant changes will be announced in our Discord server.
